Three's a charm

I enjoyed my hour doing the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch yesterday morning. My highlight was a flock of 11 goldfinches, up in the top of the tree at the bottom of the garden. Inspiration to get the brushes wet...

  2. wonderful - I only got 2 goldfinch visiting in the hour I did - then of course later on when I wasn't recording I got a load more of them and plenty of other birds too - but in the hour I recorded hardly any!! Beautiful goldfinch painting, my favourite garden visitors!

    1. Isn't it always the way! Some of my regulars didn't make an appearance either - no house sparrows and amazingly no blackbirds
